Barnes County COVID-19 Relief Fund

The Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation is taking an important step to assist our community during and after the COVID-19 crisis by establishing a Barnes County COVID-19 Relief Fund.

There will be so many needs during this crisis and long after- from those working on the front lines: healthcare workers, emergency personnel, education leaders, and more; to the incredible Mental Health needs during and after this crisis; and the human service industry, crisis intervention providers, and those with disabilities. “It is our responsibility to adapt to the changes and needs of our community, says Andrea Nelson, Director of the SVCF “opening a relief fund was the first step in the process. Learning more about those needs from local nonprofits and offering an opportunity for people to give back is the next step we will take.”

The purpose of this fund is to support those most impacted on the front lines, Mental Health Services, Human Services providers and other needs identified through the Foundation in Barnes County.

If you are a nonprofit organization that is providing services to those impacted please contact our office. We want to hear from you and learn how we can best support you during and after this crisis.

If you feel a desire to give to this fund, gifts can be made online by clicking the link below or you can send a check to the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation with “Barnes County COVID-19 Relief Fund” in the memo to 250 West Main St. Valley City, ND 58072.

All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

It is key that we have a broad knowledge of the needs and initiatives within our communities so that we can articulate those objectives to donors and support the good work of our Nonprofits.
We are so thankful to have people in our community who care about the needs of our students as well as an opportunity to collaborate with the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation.Shari Larson, director of the Education Foundation for Valley City Public Schools
