Board of Director Inquiry
We invite you to consider serving on the Board of Directors of the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation. Please complete this short questionnaire to help us understand how your background and experiences may help further the mission and objectives of the organization.
We have openings on the Board of Directors beginning in January 2021. Interest questionnaires will be accepted on a continual basis with initial consideration given to submissions received on or before November 1, 2020.
All questionnaires will be considered; however, preference may be given to individuals that possess specific characteristics that will strengthen the organization and its governance structure. These characteristics will change over time as we seek to support and represent a dynamic region with evolving issues and needs.
Individuals will be contacted by December 21, 2020 if they are recommended for approval by the Board of Directors. All questionnaires will be held for additional consideration
About the Board of Directors
The Community Foundation is governed by a 7-17 member Board of Directors, consisting of dedicated community members that volunteer their service to the nonprofit. Board terms are 3 years in length, and members may serve up to three consecutive terms. The Board meets on a monthly basis for approximately 1 hour. In addition, Board members may be encouraged to participate and support Foundation committees and events, as needed. Please review the SVCF Board of Director Roles and Responsibility guide for more detailed information.

We give a heartfelt thanks to the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation for the grant opportunity. Without the funding we received we would not have been able to make this outdoor learning experience a reality.Nicole Powers, teacher at Jefferson Elementary
