Apprenticeships in North Dakota

The North Dakota Department of Commerce is hosting a number of informational meetings around the state about North Dakota’s Apprenticeship Programs.  Barry Dutton, State Director, Office of Apprenticeship (701-250-4700), works with interested companies and organizations to establish a program that:

  1. Blends training with work and productivity
  2. Provides an internal career ladder to promote current workers
  3. Helps attract quality workers and tailor employee training to fit your needs

There are five main components of the Apprenticeship Program:

  1. Employer involvement
  2. On-the-job training
  3. Related instruction
  4. Paid work experience
  5. Award of a nationally recognized industry credential

Apprentices work and train from day one, which helps companies address the shortage of skilled workers and the ongoing need for a highly skilled workforce.

Attend the informational meeting on January 24th from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Regional Technology Center, 415 Winter Show Road SE, Valley City.  Contact Trinity Potts at 701-845-1891 or by email at vdgoffice@hellovalley.com.
