It’s likely you have a connection with at least one nonprofit in our community, whether it’s through volunteering, making a donation, serving as a board member, or utilizing their services. As Director of the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation, I have the pleasure of working directly with many of these great organizations in a variety of ways.
For some, it means I meet with staff and help them develop new programs like the Access For All Program or the BCN Foundation’s Bison Bunker initiative. For others, it means connecting organizations with donors who are looking to give back such as the endowment fund established for the Litchville Fire Department. It can also be through strategic planning or developing policies and procedures like I did with Sheyenne Valley Backing the Badge.
Our Alliance of Nonprofits offers a variety of training opportunities, networking and resources to our local nonprofits. We offer a Community Grant Round that provides small, obtainable grants to support a variety of organizations such as the Kathryn Quick Response Unit or Hannaford Park District.
These are examples of the innovative work that is being done by the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation. This is how we go above and beyond to strengthen our nonprofits and do so much more than accept donations. We take pride in this service and are the only local organization dedicated to improving our nonprofits.
Please consider making a gift to the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation. Your generosity provides sustainability so that we may continue to provide this essential support to our local nonprofit community.
Donations can be mailed or made online through our website https://valleycitynd.org/svcf-donate.php. If you would like more information on the various ways you can give, please contact me at 701.490.1596 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your commitment to our community, we continue to be inspired by the generosity and are thankful for the growth in our trusted relationships and many generous donors.

Donors like Charlotte Van Houten Estate, Lilian Jacobson Estate and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and Jane Winge, who gave to the Barnes Co Historical Society Endowment Fund have made a difference in their community and provided a gift that lasts forever. They are helping to meet the needs of the museum today and for years to come.
