The Development Corporation plays a major role in creating career opportunities through the recruitment of new industries and assisting businesses with retention and expansion. The employee Retention & Recruiting Coordinator is the primary contact for employee retention and engagement. The coordinator has 3 main focuses:
To assist businesses with recruiting/job seeking by arranging community tours, posting job openings, and providing information to potential employees. And to assist employees with job searches by posting resumes and helping them connect with area employers.
Improve retention of employees in the community by providing opportunities for community engagement and building strong connections among employees, employers and the community.
And to assist with workforce development by informing employees/employers about the training opportunities available through Valley City State University, the Sheyenne Valley Career & Technology Center, Job Service, and other resources
